Many, many years ago I was sitting in the chill-out room at "The Fridge" a gay club in London. I was in a booth with five other strangers who were quaffing water and getting their heads together. Three women, three men.
woman1: "I think it's great that you guys have such a warm community here. It's much friendlier than teh striaght clubs I go to. Are you 'out' at work?"
me: Um er - I'm straight. I'm hear for the dancing and keeping my mate company.
man2: um I'm straight too. I'm here for the drugs.
woman2: I'm not.
man 3: IYou won't believe it - I'm straight too. Maybe this isn't a really a gay bar?
woman1: stares at everyone as if they had just deflated her balloon, gets up and walks off with a pout.
remaining five: all collapse in laughter
