Hi Meri

Canal Street can be fun - while under the influence of a hefty quantity of alcohol! I'm not really a 'bars and clubs' person to be honest. Too sl*tty, too b*tchy and far too noisy, especially in 'Essentials' or whatever it's called. The vulgarity of it all can be depressing. People are 'high' but is anyone actually happy? In future, I think I'd need to be on Ecstasy to enjoy clubbing. Not that I'm planning on going clubbing. Alcohol just doesn't do it for me anymore.........or maybe at the ripe old age of 21 I've turned into a boring old f*rt ;-) Still, Canal Street is not all it's cracked up to be. I guess it *can* be exciting though. I haven't been for months, perhaps I should go. There's always a sad element though........the homeless people, numerous 'lonely old men' wondering around, a depressed drag queen, 'dubious' people who hang around public toilets, prostitutes.... Geez, how depressing. I don't like the word 'gay' because of all the negative associations. I think.... 'I'm not like that'. I guess I just want to settle down with a nice man some day, ya know? I'm lonely at the moment. Well... sometimes.

And seriously, what's with all these 'lets have sex with as many people as possible' people? I don't get it. I don't like sleaze. Paradoxically, I find sleaze very un-sexy. Looks like men need women to keep their libidos in check. Men need women to tell them 'no'. 'No' doesn't seem to be in some men's vocabularies though.

Rant over.

Love

Ed
