there's always a few seeds in a "seedless" watermelon but are they fertile? How do you make them grow? If the balance of seed to seedless isn't just right, eventually the watermelon will revert to one or another won't it? So does that mean they're constantly re-bio-engineering the seeds to keep the right balance.. because if you have too MUCH seedless, won't you eventually run out of seeds to plant? Or maybe there's no such thing as seeds, anymore. I'm pretty sure they can clone stuff like this y'know. Clone food. They can do that to meat now, apparently.
Make it grow on its own.
Vegetarian meat.
Or close to, anyway.
It's in Harper's this month. Back page. Yup. 1984 has come and gone. We're beyond the beyond.
