Actually I know what you mean. It's a stalker/abuser relationship. A form of control abuse, and derived from him knowing I "almost" had an affair. However, I seem to be reminded of the many, many years that he virtually ignored me, never opened a door or pulled out a chair for me, and certainly never introduced me to anyone. Of course, I never went anywhere without him either. Not sure if that was a concious effort in compliance to his rules or my own lack of independence.
