I know which ones are new by the way........the black handled ones with yellow stripes denoting "Stanley" brand. I have three screwdrivers in my kitchen from that new set. Actually I have like a dozen screwdrivers, and a few wrenches, a pair of pliers, and a socket wrench in here that have filtered their way into my house and never returned to their rightful place in the toolbox. I know this exact count of tools because yesterday I cleaned out two junk drawers and the cabinets in my laundry room.

Gracie.... get the man to do some chores around your house. If you are like me, you push your way through things in order for them to be done correctly (or in our way). I fell asleep Sunday, and my husband took it upon his self to finish the laundry. We have had several "pink" issues with his laundry days so he hasn't done them; but he wanted to surprise me. He did 2 loads, washed my good clothes in hot water (not according to my regime) and was very proud of his accomplishments. I didn't argue I just smiled and stretched the crap out of my clothes like a rubber band.
Peg Boards..... have a peg board day!!! you both can hang peg boards in the garage in order for him to hang his wrenches, ropes, hand saws and other tools. It is an accomplishment, looks neat, and keeps things orderly.
Hold him accountable!!!!! Throw them in a bucket or trash can and put them under his work bench etc. He'll see, or so he should, see that they don't belong in a kitchen draw or on the counter top where food is prepared.
Your kids.... hold them accountable for their mess!!! Have them take their shoes off at the door, a lot less mud and grime will go through the house with this routine. If they eat or drink out of a dish, have them put it into the dishwasher or have them wash them. Assign weekly chores for each kid and then have them swap. My mom had a chore sheet on the fridge. We felt an accomplishment when we could check things off and then show her our "great" jobs of dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, dish duty, etc.
Even though we think that we are Super Woman and House Keeper of the Year, we aren't, and we as women have to come to that idea, that we too need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
