John Nash, whose life was chronicled in the movie "a Beautiful Mind", battled and won his struggle with schizophrenia mainly with sheer willpower. An amazing story. Perhaps you can do some research on the specifics of Nash's experience (If you haven't seen the movie, please do). Maybe he's written a book about it.
I don't share your symptoms, although I'm always struggling to keep my head above water mental health-wise. I feel for you.
