Dee,

I admire you for taking the time to interview therapists. Typically, for whatever reason, women don't ask potential therapists a lot of questions, and probably ask more questions of their mechanic than their therapist.

One of the "Falls" here (was it fallsfall or fallen4myT???)has a great list of questions. If I knew then what I know now, I would ask the following:

1. How long have you been in practice? (I think experience is VERY important.)

2. Have you had any experience treating people with my "constellation of symptoms" and what is the general outcome? What would my treatment paln be like?

3. Will we have therapy goals and can we go over these goals and my progress on a regular basis?

4. What are your policies on phone calls, gifts, changing appointments, boundaries, etc.?

5. Are you open to me being able to look at any therapy notes or are you willing to share with me what you are writing each session? (My T does this and I really like it)

6. If I have transference will you promise not to dump me or get freaked out???

7. What is your therpauetic orientation? And try not to take "eclectic" as a final answer
