It's important for you to notice that a single person can have this dichotymous relationship with booze, or gambling, or rock cocain, or (as in my case) cheese cake.
One fork full of cheese cake is always toooo much for me, while at the same time, the whole cheese cake is never enough for me. It may sound wierd unless you grew up around alcoholics. It does relate to the concept of boundaries and my confusion as to where the line could/should be drawn. I've been doing very well with my boundaries now for the past 15 years.
