What is different for an addictive consumption is perceived expectation and/or obligation to the person, place, thing, or idea being craved. We set in an image of the results, and we are satisfied momentarily. From AA, one sip is toooo much and awhole bottle's never enough. From OA, one cookie is toooo much and the whole bag of cookies is never enough.
