I'm not talking, of course, about anyone in particular on Babble. Just the tone of the country, here in conservative territory (as epitomized by my mother who thought Clinton was the devil incarnate) as well as in more liberal climes.
Dr. Bob, I apologize if I strayed outside the civility guidelines in any way. I have been trying very very hard to stay within them.
My post was an expression of my own difficulties applying my own values personally and was not meant as an indictment of anyone else. Indeed, my entire point was that I'm working hard at understanding everyone's point of view while wrestling with my own immediate impulses.
