Hi Fallingstar, You can post to me as well, I take Babblemail too. You're never whining here on Babble. I've thought that too, and when I was feeling very bad I received an amazing amount of virtual love and understanding. Babble held me up emotionally when I wasn't strong enough to do it myself. I'm sure the time will come when I really need Babble again, and I hope it's there for me. For all of us. We deserve it ...
Watch me, I'm gonna let it all out now.
I feel like, apart from my volunteer theatre work, that this is the most "me" place I've ever found. That's not to say I struggle with all the same issues everyone does, but sprinklings of "me" show up everywhere in the postings here on the boards. Personally, I believe that's because the boards allow us a measure of openness we can't usually display without having people think we're weird. We're not, we're "normal" people honestly struggling to be better against different and difficult odds. We're just more vulnerable and open about our private psyches, and in my mind, when we give each other understanding and acceptance, that's a big positive step in human development. We try to do that all the time here on Babble. Practicing understanding here helps me take it out into the world. I love this. Since Babble came into my life, I've changed... for the better. Weird concept. True though. Having a small mind, I have no idea how that worked but it did.
Good luck with your meds, and don't be hard on yourself, even the most optimistic person feels unmotivated at times. You're not alone. Depression saps us of energy, and maybe the best thing to do when that happens is reach out and also, be understanding and kind to yourself.
