I am really big on hugs and cuddling. I have been known to ask a friend to come over just because I need a hug (and I told her that's why I wanted her to come!).
My daughter (21) and I were on vacation last week. She walked up to me in the middle of the cottage and sort of draped herself on me. I asked if she was tired, and she said "No, I just want to cuddle". Heaven. We just stood there holding each other. We repeated this a couple of times over the next couple of days. Later, when we watched a movie I sat on the couch next to her (instead of on the other chair), and held her until my arm was long past being asleep. I wish she still lived at home...
I do think I prefer hugging people who I know, though...
