---------This happened to me last week. My girlfriend and I left our house after lunch to return to work, but neither of us had keys. We called our landlord with our neighbor's phone, and he essentially said "Tough luck, I'm busy." After contemplating several scenarios to enter the house (through the roof vent, breaking a pane of glass in the front door), I used a pair of crutches from my garage to reach the one window in the house that I'd chiseled open (they were all painted shut from the inside when we moved in), broke a tiny piece out of the bottom with a screwdriver, and pushed the latch open with it. It worked beautifully, though I did topple like a tree once while stilt-walking with the crutches. A dab of epoxy and 2 hours later, I was back at work without a problem.
