Hi AntiTrust,
It seems all the important stuff is usually taboo in families, at least it was in mine. I also know when 'extreme shyness' translates into 'can't deal with anyone or anything or get out of the house'...eg, agoraphobia. I haven't actually been diagnosed with agoraphobia, but I have diagnosed myself with many an agoraphobic moment. At least you have found yourself in a good marriage, and hopefully things will get better for you with more time on lexapro.

I just got a prescription for a beta blocker to deal with episodes of extreme panic, so at least my heart won't beat right out of my chest when I have to function. We'll see how it goes.
