If you don't already, take chromium picolinate, cheaply avaiable anyplace. It helps stabilize blood sugar. Perhaps on the horizon in a few years, research with the hormone leptin shows great promise for reducing sugar cravings. Leptin, you may have read about it. Fatties have less of it than slimmies; it helps to control appetite.

Also, consider eating fruit instead of sweets, especially apples, they have a low glycemic index. Find a glycemic index chart (surely on the web), and try to eat foods with a low glycemic index to keep your blood sugar stailized to avoid sugar cravings.

Sorry about your co-workers sabotaging your diet. I'm such a nutcase that I got on S.S. disability, so I no longer have that problem, at least for now, I don't have to work. Yeah, the women where I used to work were always bringing in all kinds of fragrant goodies. They were just trying to be sweet, with their sweets, of course, but as a result of that, about the only way I could sucessfully diet was to take vacation time! Good luck to you.
