Friends,
The giant statue faded away as i walked to lower Manhattan. Ther I saw a giant building clothed in black. It was being torn apart. It was next to an area cleared of previous buildings. It was ground zero. Therre were pictures all around depicting the horror of that monsterous event . There were people all around looking at what was not there anymore. Vendors were holding magazines for sale showing the planes hitting the buildings. But out of the ashes there was a man playing a trumpet to the tune from the musical, New York, New York, and people dropped coins in his trumpet case as they passed him. What a city.
