Thanks for all that info---it feels like an inflamed bump, or something--not deep in, but deeper than I can see to try to treat it with Hydrogen Peroxide and antibiotic ointment. I've been trying all kinds of mirror tricks, but it's too deep. In the meantime I did a terrible thing and tried to lance it by feel because it was throbbing and causing me so much pain. Ok, not a very intelligent thing to do.
