Mental illness justifies adultery?Give me a break!

Posted by whiterabbit on May 3, 2003, at 14:48:33

I guess Prince Charles is even more low-class than I thought. Now his spin doctors have produced a book claiming that Diana suffered from borderline personality disorder, and her mental illness was the reason for the divorce - not Charles' piggish philandering.

Bloody hell, is there no limit to this man's selfishness? Trying to justify his blatant infidelity with his trashy mistress by calling
his dead ex-wife a psychotic...whom he put up with
"longer than most men" would have.

What a loser. Diana did resort to some very desperate measures because she loved a snobbish, selfish, cheating bastard who did not love her.
At times she did break under the strain of being stranded in a loveless marriage while performing her royal duties as the most-photographed, highly visible woman in the world. That's a lot of pressure for a young lady who was not born and raised as royality, yet she adapted quite elegantly.

Diana was not a psychotic, and she was not the idiot that Charles made her out to be. It simply would not have been possible for her to evolve into such a fashion icon while consistently attending royal and charitable events, not if she was truly mentally ill. She WAS desperately unhappy and ashamed about her husband's public and steamy little affair with a horse-faced woman
who also happened to be married. My God, can you imagine having the whole world listen to a recording of your husband panting to his girlfriend that he wanted to be her tampon?? How terrible for her.

I guess I feel so strongly about this because first of all, I adored Princess Diana and also, I seem to find myself in similar circumstances at this time(minus the royal part, of course). So next time I'll just come right out and say what I'm thinking instead of beating around the bush.

Charles, you're a low-class loser.
