One of the rare triumphs I've had with medications was adrafinil. One of my major problems has always been low energy, and a cloudy, sluggish mind. I'd find myself yawning a dozen times at work, unable to concentrate, and frustrated. It made sense to me to try a stimulant, but I didn't want anything too activating, because I tend to get "shaky" and nervous. Anyway, I'd read about some other babblers who'd had success with this drug (and it's metabolite, Modafinil/Provigil).
After about 10 days on it, things began to change. I haven't yawned once at work in the last few weeks, and I find myself able to do physical activities without feeling so run down. It's a very subtle drug, too. The only side effect I've noticed is that my urine is quite pungent (others said the same). I'm only taking 600mg a day, in the morning. Others seemed to take double that.
