No motivation?
Tell me about it!

I personally think that Paxil is good for depression and anxiety. Remeron just put me to sleep. My therapist hates Remeron for people in school. It really knocks the motivation right out of you.

I also have major problems getting out and being around people. It took getting on the right meds for me to be able to force myself out of my room. It sounds like you really need to work on the meds. I have gotten to the point where I can sometimes. Once i get out there i am usually ok. it is just getting out there that is hard. I don't kinow anything about Clonazepam. I am on 4 mg of Gabitril to help with anxiety. it is a newer med, an antiseizure med that is up for official approval to help with anxiety. i think the usual dose for anxiety is btw 2 and 8 mg. I also take a little (.5 mg) Risperdal for obsessive thinking and clarity of thought. it makes it easier to focus. my pdoc's strategy is to try a little of this/little if that to get the right combination. i am very thankful for that attitude.

It sounds like a lot has change for you. just focus on getting to class, first. ( and, GET OFF THE REMERON! Sorry. that stuff can make you so tired. i hope you are taking it at night, at least, although it has a long half life so it stays in your system a long time.) then you can start to talk to people about school. study with people, then gradually talk about other stuff. this is the only thing that has worked for me. are you rooming by yourself? i found it better to room with somebody, even if they bother me, having somebody there makes it easier to go out. you don't have to be great friends or hang out all the time. I just put a notice saying i needed a roommate on a board in my student union building. i got a pretty neat roommate that way, and didn't even know them before hand. just make sure you have your own bedroom to retreat to if needed. feel free to write back. let me know how it goes.
