The constant meowing used to drive me nuts. At first, after I fed her a few times, the meowing only got worse and I thought I'd made a terrible mistake. But gradually, as she became securely mine, with daily meals and petting, she stopped the crying. I still draw the line at letting her in the house though. I just don't want housepets anymore (after having 5 at one point). So she sleeps outside on my doormat, which is actually as close as she can be to me without being inside. She's so sweet.
