I do that too, Fi. I will tell a stranger in a grocery store that he/she has a nice smile. Or the teller at the bank has a nice hair-do. I know how I enjoy someone complimenting me (although I don't take it that well either), so I try to make others feel that - when I can.
And to Terra, I do get on my kids level and play with them and paint with them. It's much fun to see the world through the eyes of a 3 year old again. She's such a learning sponge.
Yesterday she came home from grammys (rare visit), and went in her bathroom (I had just cleaned it - blue stuff still in potty) and she screeched at me! "THANK YOU MOMMA!! YOU CLEANED MY POTTY!!!" How cute is that... and I know I have to suck it up now, because they become little ingrates (the most of them). hahahaha
