Well, I halfway agree with him about there being a group of people who hold power over the world. I would strongly disagree with the idea that it is Bush and cronies (tho Bush was Funny at the dinner for the press last night).

Paul Simon, on Graceland, expressed what I think, and I'm writing this from memory, so the lyrics may not be exact:

the way the camera follows us in slow mo
the way we look to us all
the way we look to a distant constellation
dying in the corner of the sky
these are the days of miracle and wonder
but don't cry baby don't cry...

then later....these are the days of lasers in the jungle,
lasers in the jungle somewhere,
staccato signals of constant information
a loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires
etc

I think the people who hold power over the world are quiet and keep a low profile. A group well above and beyond Bush et al. Illuminati--I'm not so sure about that part.

I've never heard of Icke, but I would not like to have that name.

> Someone sent me this quote: "Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground." It was unattributed, and I think it's astute and funny, so I looked it up on the net, and I found this guy's web site. In it, he's saying, essentially, that there's an illuminati--a group that holds power over the world (that would be George Bush and his cronies, of course). In order to get us to do what they want, they create a need for it (meaning they created 9/11 so we could have a police state and war, etc.).
