Hi Emma,
I think there are different alcohol rehabilitation programmes; you should ask your psychiatrist what he has in mind. Group therapy may be part of it, but I'd be surprised if it were 4 weeks full time of group therapy. There may be other aspects of the programme that you'd be surprised about. I don't know about such programmes myself, but do ask for some details to your pdoc. At least you'll know what to expect, and it'll decrease your anxiety about it.
