Hi,

I have no experience of this kind of "therapy" but I do have something to say about it.

Last week I tried to kill myself. I can't give anybody a clear reason why, I was just tired of everything that was going on in my life. I still am and can totally identify with what you say about having a hard time with giving up suicide as an option. But that's another story...

Perhaps your therapist wants to give you a set goal to work towards? Something positive to aim for over the next year? If you give yourself a specific date and get to it then you will have a reason to be thoroughly pleased with and proud of yourself. That's how I see it and it seems like quite a good idea to me. Maybe I'll do the same.

Emma.
