In traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed that the body (and mind) is very influenced by seasons.

Depression is seen as a winter that forgot that spring was coming. Therefore, it helps to go outside more often as the days get longer. My winter lasted many years, and one winter I had acupuncture treatments for it. In the spring, I folloe mu acunturer's orders and made sure I spent at least one hour a day outside, marvelling at nature's reawakening. I don't know if I believe in all of this... but I enjoy the evolutions of seasons more now, and my major depression is over. Anyway, I think that nature is very soothing; nothing like a long walk in the woods to feel better grounded.

Go outside as the days get longer, help nature heal you !
