Wendy - thanks so much for the report. Kay Redfield Jamison is pretty much as close as I get to a true heroine to me. I've probably read An Unquiet Mind 3 times and parts of it many more times. I'm glad she's getting the recognition she so richly deserves.

She has published scientific articles, a memoir of her bipolar illness, and a new book on suicide. She is a psychiatrist at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and is 55 years old. Her contributions to the understanding of the illnesses we suffer from, and her courage and intelligence, are an inspiration. What an impressive woman!
