Beth Orton - Central Reservation

Emmylou Harris (nod to Sar) - Red Dirt Girl

Whiskeytown - Stranger's Almanac

Gram Parsons - Return of the Grievous Angel (tribute)

Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Session

Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels on a Gravel Road

..... and on and on...
like the suggestions from the others, will try to look for them on Half.com
if you've never tried this web site, it's pretty good for finding cd's at less than half price...
many other things to spend yr money on there, too, so all you bipolars: watch it! (lol)

music hath charm to soothe the savage beast, a cliche' (can't figure out the diacriticals on e-mails or this Board) - but true. I think it's very therapeutic, inspiring, lets you get down into the depression if that's what you need, but it's the singing along that really lifts you out of a mood... Put it in the car player, take a drive, sing your guts out, and man! it can really be a soul-saver...

(now back to the Board, I haven't had a chance to check messages for a couple of days...)
