There is a commercial on our television here in Canada, where a giant baby boy is walking upstairs with a steaming cup. He enters a bedroom door and a woman's voice says, "Big baby!" Now whenever someone does a whine, especially members of the other sex, I say, "Poor Big Baby!"
The beach is a ten minute walk from my house. The sun rises up behind it so I can get shade during the hottest part of the day. The shore is a soft beige sand, the water is fairly shallow, and the odd time you can see little schools of minnows swim by. The water gradually deepens and cools as it does. On windy days like today the waves actually form little white caps. The children love to jump in them. For me it means water up the nose. The sun sets on the other side of the bay, painting the sky wonderful pastel colours which vary. At the night, it becomes deserted and when the sky is clear the stars seem close. I find it relaxing listening to water tap on the shore and the breeze always seems cooler at the beach.
Any beaches near your house, Micha?
