I am afraid that "forgiving someone" does not hurt them enough to satisfy me. THEY need to pay for what they have done to me, and forgiving them just makes me look weak and pathetic, whereas a clever and cutting sarcastic remark, preferably in front of people whose respect they need, or making them lose something they value, is to me, the best payback.
