health condition I had no problem stepping up to the plate and being the primary wage earner. I am not expecting a pat on the back for that but it was easy for me, it had to be done so I did it. You know we are at the age where our life should be all set, we are not YOUNGSTERS JUST STARTING OUT. I am 46, and he is 50. I don't know one day at a time is the way to go, because right now I have a hard enough time getting up in the morining much less to deal with this. Thanks for the support.
Maybe it was easy for you because you're more committed to the relationship, or maybe it was easy for you because you like working more than he does, or what you're doing at work, or maybe it was easy because you just are the type who can face a challenge, maybe he just can't face any challenge, or maybe this is one he's afraid to face ... there's a ton of possibilities but unless he can honestly sit down and do the emotional work you'll probably always carry the burden.
