I feel that we're done. I've gotten a great deal out of therapy with him and it's really been a life-changing experience. Last year, I became severely depressed and got out of it because of drugs (parnate). Once I was stable, I didn't feel like there was anything to work on really. We were just checking in and going over the same ground. I love this man and felt I was only seeing him because I loved him and it was time to move on and not stay mired in all this transference love. He had said to me once that it was important to learn to say a meaningful goodbye, which I never learned because I left home when I was 14. I wanted to say a meaningful goodbye. But it's sadder than I thought it would be.
