Pathological Extreme Views

Posted by garnet71 on March 23, 2009, at 16:07:57

So something reminded me of my mother's disdain for religion, and now I'm thinking of how such things manifest.

I swear anger and hate manifests into extreme political views for some people. I am NOT saying this pertains to anyone who believes the views of the extreme left or the extreme right. This is different-I am talking about for example, say you post a comment on a political message forum--something that former President Bush said or did. Then someone with extreme left views attacks you--but really, you were mistaken and it was something Obama said or did. When its brought to the person's attention, suddenly what they once thought Bush did, but really Obama did, it's ok.

I've seen people do that--no matter WHAT is said or done by someone who is, for example, a democrat--it's wrong according to the right. Same with the other way.

For the extremism I spoke of--No matter what is done by a republican, a democrat will say its wrong and terrible, and no matter what is done by a democrat, to a republican it is wrong and terrible. Even if it is not wrong or terrible in their view aside from WHO expresses the view.

Someone will criticize something done by Clinton, then when Bush does it, they praise it; same goes for the other way around. See what I mean?

I swear its a manifestation of extreme hate-a pathology for some people.

So I couldn't explain it too well, but does anyone else notice this?
