It's hard for everyone, on both sides of the spectrum. Our weights and our bodies are loaded with so many meanings.

For me, it was difficult, because it was such a striking sign that I was deteriorating emotionally, even when I didn't want to believe it. And people assumed that I could just gain weight back, when I couldn't force food down because I was so depressed.
