There was one of my T''s other patients that I was sure (for no particular reason, other than it was suddenly broken) had broken off the 'On" knob on the small heater in his waiting room. I really started to dislike him (I didn't "like" him anyway, already--). Which was a bit absurd.

That would have driven me nuts. :) Then again, I have a very low tolerance for "broken" things in my T's office. He purchased a pillow and the seam has separated allowing some of the stuffing to show. I yell at him about it just about every other session or so. I'm not convinced it was torn at the hands of another client, though, so I won't be yelling at them anytime soon. ;)

> The part about the dog would make me feel weird-- like --hey-- don't try bringing cute animals in here to weedle your way into "my" T's affections. Don't know why-- but I'm pretty reactive to that.

That's exactly what I was feeling like.

> Now my T uses different doors to let people in and out-- so I don't see other patients. It's a little strange not to see anyone, but to hear tham come in.

My T has the smallest waiting room in the world, I think. It's quite uncomfortable when someone has to walk past me or me past them. No other doors to be found, though.

I definitely like my 8 p.m. time slot.
