Good session, but different in some ways

Posted by All Done on January 12, 2007, at 12:23:45

Wednesday night, I was waiting in my T's waiting room and the sounds from his office sounded a little different. It seemed like he and his client might have been talking closer to the door and then I heard these swish, swish sounds. Kind of like someone brushing off their clothes or something. When he opened the door, his client came out with her dog in her arms. A cute little one about 10 pounds or so and wearing a little winter jacket. :)

She apologized if I had "heard him growl". I hadn't, but I guess he did when I opened the door. And she told me, "he really is friendly", at which point, I held my hand out for him to sniff and he gave me kisses. He was cute and she seemed very nice. It was the longest I'd ever "talked" to another client. Kind of strange. Even stranger, though, is that part of me wishes I could be her friend. Then again, another part of me doesn't like thinking that someone else might be as attached to my T as I am. So much so that she wanted to bring her dog? Kind of like I've talked to him about bringing my son for him to meet?

Then, to top it all off, I was there on my usual "off" Wednesday (I go every other) because of my scheduling conflicts. So, my T had scheduled me for an hour earlier than my normal 8 p.m. appointment. And apparently, he scheduled someone else in "my" usual time slot. I'm so used to being his last client on Wednesday nights. I didn't like this at all.

I'm so weird.

Laurie
