I wondered that, too. I've seen professors order tape recorders turned off in class.

But my two therapists seemed very comfortable and ignored it. They never brought it up again and suggested places to put the recorder where it would pick up better. I myself eventually forgot that it was on during the session. So, I dunno.

But I think using it caused stresses for me. In retrospect, for my own sake I should've talked about those issues with the Ts at the time.

LOL. I was afraid that if I said, “I'm not going to use this to sue you,” they *would* think that!

I'm a little surprised that no other obsessive types have reported doing it.
