I think you should bring this up in therapy...

And I think dreams aren't always true, or maybe aren't even usually true. But I think they represent what we are trying to work out. It is likely that YOU are worried about not being a good mother and perhaps there is something that has happened, or not happened, that is making you feel that way. Did you fight with your child?

This is a subject I struggle with all the time. I think easy kids make their parents look good and more challenging kids make us look at ourselves and wonder what we are doing wrong. My therapist has pointed out, ever so gently, much to the deflation of my ego, that kids have lots of influences and what I do or don't do is only part of the equation. Especially as they get older.

I don't think any of us are perfect. But if we try our best and let our kids know we love them, I think they will turn out OK. Remember, you only have to be a "good enough" mother. :)
