I have an appointment to meet with another therapist next Tuesday. She was recommended by my first T, who retired her practice. Gaaah, I don't like having to tell my story all over again. Can't I hand her a resume or something?
Objective: To achieve a semblance of a normal life
Education: 43 years of on the job training, some college, School of Tough Knocks
Experience: 1962 - 1983 born and raised in a dysfunctional family. Participated in multiple relocation efforts. Navigated transfer of education to six different schools in various geographical locations. Coordinated Christmas celebrations with siblings after parents' divorce. Acted as surrogate spouse to alcoholic father until my own marriage.
1983 - 1996 Married to abusive husband; no children, 2 cats. Participated in multiple relocation efforts. Salvaged sanity after deportation, loss of several homes, and vast betrayals. Facilitated separation and divorce with no loss of life.
1996 - present. Established flourishing marriage and settled in Florida. Presented acting as consultant to major pharmaceutical corporations in daily medication usage.
