Hi Blossom,

I personally don't have a problem with a T being friends with a formal client. I know there are people going to say it is unethical and what he is doing it wrong but I don't feel in every case it is wrong. I know a lot of people disagree with me about this. But I do believe that once he is a friend, he shouldn't be your T anymore if you need a T in the future.
It is clear that you two share a bond that was developed in therapy and you both continue to feel this out of therapy. I would enjoy the attention and if you were meant to be friends then it will happen.
The fact that you see him at his clinic without being a client shouldn't alarm anyone, how do they know you are a FORMAL client and not a current one.
Does he mutually contact you or are you doing all the connecting? If it is equal, then just have fun and enjoy yourself, but don't forget to make friends with others too. :)
