Yes, I have noticed that sometimes if I am fighting depression, going out into the world and doing something "normal" like dinner, makes me feel a bit better. And it's amazing what a long chat with a girlfriend can do for my psyche.

But then there are days when I cannot even get the mail without crying, and those days are better spent alone, for me at least.

It's a vicious cycle for some....feel terribly lonely, which makes one stay in, which makes one feel terrible, which makes one lonely, which makes one stay in....

But I do not think that humans were made to exist alone. Which is why therapy is such an ordinary and amazing thing all rolled into one.
