When I got my DX both my GP and the p-doc I spoke to said "You live pretty much inside your head don't you?" And I knew exactly what they meant, and they were/are so right. Getting better though.
Wish I could explain it better but it's like every conversation, interaction, everything in my life takes place in my head long before it happens IRL (if it ever even does) and can be replayed for a long time afterward with no-one else having the slightest ideas that there's all this stuff happening in there. Sometimes even while stuff is happening IRL it's also happening concurrently in my head with different scenarios being played out. Any wonder most people have no clue what's going on for me at particular time, and more than half the time eventhough I'm there IRL what I'm really focused on is happening in my head.
Sorry to ramble on, hope that helps a little.
