Since my parents were not parenting me, I learned many values from TV shows. I know that they were not real life, but it was better than my life I was living plus it showed me what a good parent could be.
Some of my shows was Leave it to Beaver, Brady Bunch, Facts of Life,Cosby Show,etc. I think if I didn't have these shows,I would have never learned any values and I would have probably kept the cycle of abuse going with my own kids. Thank goodness I knew something wasn't right with my parents parenting and my children will never know what child abuse is. They are hugged everyday and told they are loved too. Something I never had growing up. What shows helped you all?
