I'm not sure I deserve praise. If I'd have stopped to think, I'd have never done it.

But it is wrong of him. And in violation of professional ethics, to my understanding. I even try not to read, but I'm one of those people whose eyes are drawn to the written word automatically.

I think all professionals need to be way more aware of this. I was in a elevator with a regular doctor who was on the phone with a pain clinic about a patient, explaining that the patient was d-r-a-m-a-t-i-c, and that there was no reason for her to be complaining of pain the way she was. But that the staff had asked that she contact the pain clinic. No names were mentioned, but I wondered if the doctor realized how the conversation made her and the institution look. In fact, I think I'll contact the administration of the place tomorrow and point it out.
