I talk about PB and online "relationships" in therapy sometimes. My T is pretty good at treating it like any other relationships-- we talk about the dynamics, and what it's telling me about my issues, and how I react to others. We also talk about how at times internet can become an unhealthy thing for me-- addictive and a source of useless drama.

However, when I mentioned doing online socializing in group therapy, folks pretty much got stuck on the fact that it was online and therefore "not real", and I got into defending online socializing in general instead of whatever was the issue at hand, so I quit talking about it.

Fortunately my T is not online herself so I don't worry or think about her coming here.
