hi Susan,
should we start calling you Zebra? (No, just kidding. I'm trying to make you laugh. Ihope it worked!)

What if you tried wearing an orange thing tomorrow and see if that lifts your mood?

They say (the ever present "THEY") that people who make attempts to smile more can actually increase serotonin activity, and people who strive to change their handwriting often see corresponding changes in personality. I don't know how accurate that is, but it sounds nice!

Maybe dressing up pretty and bright will help brighten your mood...or at least get you on the path to enbrightenment.

I need to lose weight. I went out and bought a new pair of pants & a cute shirt yesterday. I was excited about this; I'd been "punishing" myself and wearing old clothes and saying I would not buy anything nice until I was thin. Then I decided, "heck, I want to look cute now!" Today I've been pretty decent -- ate grapes instead of Doritos.

So it sort of helps me on a small level.

PS - for an extra fun look, how about wearing ALL of your orange and red clothes without regard for matching or style? Think about the stares you'd get!
