Decision?

Posted by Susan47 on August 22, 2004, at 17:35:00

I was performing SI with blackberry bushes again today (that was supposed to be macabre humour) and something happened I have to talk about. We came upon a man sitting near the top of the hill we were on, with a view of the city. And he was looking at the view, but most of the time his eyes were closed. Which is okay, I've been there. But he had a pillowcase at his feet, slightly open to view. I myself couldn't make out the items. And he would open his eyes, look very very thoughtfully at the pillowcase and its contents, look at the view, close his eyes. My dog went up to him immediately and pushed herself to his side. (She's very affectionate) He gave her a couple of pats but he seemed very distracted and sad. I watched him for quite a while; he just seemed very lifeless. I've been like him and I know what it felt like to me. It just seemed to much like he was making a decision about something. There were things about him I won't go into here, things that were really disturbing to me. Things I don't even know if I can express without sounding nuts. I had this deep feeling about him. I asked him if he was okay actually, and he looked at me, through me really, and said he was fine, he reminiscing actually. I left him alone there but I think I might go back just to check.
