I know it's hard to get a fix on memory, time and place. Your image is very powerful with the knife and your parents. Parents are there to protect you...I share your shock and dissapointment with these people who should have been there for you. It sounds like you just wanted to be loved and cared about. It seems so hard to face these issures when we are adults much less as children. Sometimes I think it has to be a lie how could my mother have been so unkind. I too have gaps in my memory. I am so unsure about why the blanks are there...I was there surely I should remember? It's such a puzzle. It doesn't seem to matter if I remember I can still heal the pain.
I hope you can be okay with that partial memory.
Jai
