i was pretty firm with my pdoc for the first year and wouldn't let him prescribe some things and wouldn't back down when he tried to discourage me from getting a certain med (he totally didn't want to prescribe xanax, but it's been totally the best thing in my situation and i have no history of abusing it) annnnnnyway, now he believes me and my side effects (i got those <1% ones), but we duked it out for a solid year. i would go duke it out with him, and then i would go straight to my therapist where i would collapse because it was so hard to stand up for myself. but it paid off. can you do something like that?>Oh I have tried and tried, he then gets angry and says "I am the doctor here, not you"
