I already posted a version of this question on regular Psychobabble but I'd like to go a bit more in depth here.
I am asking my pdoc for a trial of Nardil tomorrow since I am about at the end of my rope. However, I've been taking Geodon for six months or so and it feels like it is the only thing holding me together (along with Klonopin).
I know that Geodon blocks two of the dopamine receptor sites and make more dopamine available for the third DA receptor. How is this likely to affect the effects of Nardil?
I know it would probably be better not to be on the Geodon when I start the Nardil but reducing my dosage of Geodon even somewhat sends me into a tailspin. I think I'd have to be hospitalized to get off Geodon I'd feel so bad.
So - what do I do? Of course I'll ask my pdoc about it but truthfully, I think I'll get more relevant information here.
